Trey Waters knew at 12 years old that he wanted to be a pharmacist. After helping his grandfather understand his diabetes medications, he realized how confusing and overwhelming healthcare could be. That early insight sparked a lifelong mission: to make medicine easier to understand, and health easier to reclaim.

Born and raised in Bristol, Virginia, Trey started working as a pharmacy tech at 15 and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree by age 23. Over the past two decades, he’s owned and operated 20+ independent pharmacies across the country, specializing in both traditional dispensing and cutting-edge compounding.

Now back in Southwest Virginia, Trey leads Waters Wellness, a compounding pharmacy and clinic focused on root-cause care, hormone optimization, and longevity-driven therapies. His team works closely with patients and providers to createcustomized solutions—from sublingual medications to compounded hormone creams—all with one goal: to help people live better, longer.

Trey believes deeply in functional medicine and community-based care. His work is guided by a simple philosophy: “One size doesn’t fit all.” Whether it’s a child who can’t swallow a pill, a woman navigating hormone shifts, or a man looking to reclaim hisenergy, Trey finds a way to help.

He’s also a passionate teacher, on social media and in real life, bringing practical, science-backed health tips to his community in a way that’s approachable and real.

When he’s not behind the counter or leading a workshop, you’ll probably find Trey fishing in Taylor’s Valley (hopefully), hiking on the Virginia Creeper or Appalachian Trail, or spending time with his friends and family. No matter where heis, the mission stays the same: simplify the complex, treat the whole person, and make medicine make sense again.
